Community Blood Drive

As Masons we are committed to helping our community and our neighbors. We co-sponsor a community-wide blood drive with the American Red Cross of Greater Kansas City during the Overland Park Fall Festival

You don’t need a special reason to give blood. You just need your own reason.

  • Some of us give blood because we were asked by a friend.

  • Some know that a family member or a friend might need blood some day.

  • Some believe it is the right thing we do.

Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. And you’ll feel good knowing you've helped change a life.

The American Red Cross has served the people of Kansas City and Western Missouri for more than 100 years. Their mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

They provide response to disaster victims, emergency communications for military families, preparedness information, international tracing services, and training in first aid, CPR and water safety. They also collect and distribute life-saving blood products.

The American Red Cross Greater Kansas City Region serves over 2 million people in the counties of Johnson, Wyandotte, Bates, Benton, Caroll, Cass, Clay, Henry, Jackson, Lafayette, Pettie, Platte, Ray and Saline.

Our 2nd Annual Community Blood Drive for 2018 was a success! We moved the Bloodmobile this year and it worked out even better than last year. Even though the weather reduced the number of people who turned out for the Overland Park Fall Festival and our Blood Drive, we still managed to collect 25 viable units of blood for the Red Cross.
